The game is really good and faithful towards the original game, but the console controls are subpar unless you have an Xbox or other controller linked to it. The problem that arises is that Mobile games are meant to be on the go when you aren't close to your gaming setup or PC, so unless you constantly are carrying a bulky controller alongside your phone to support only a handful of games, the game will be really rough to play in most situations. Just buy a Nintendo if you want DS on the go.

This has been one of my favorite games since it came out!!! The mobile version is incredible, the exact same experience, items, enemies, etc as the PC and console versions. The only difference I've noticed is that the world customization options are slightly restricted, you can't use the largest/most setting and the worlds are just a tad smaller. Also, on my very cheap low end phone, the frame rate goes down and the game slows some when in the pine forests or when lots of enemies are on screen.

Good, but not flawless. The good news is that Don't Starve: Pocket Edition is COMPLETELY OFFLINE... well, at the cost of no DLC content, and that saves are lost when you uninstall the game for some reason. There's also some minor issues with the touch controls, like issuing attack commands at the joystick, but the game has controller support.
