About this ebook

Everyone knows about the immaculate conception and the crucifixion. But what happened to Jesus between the manger and the Sermon on the Mount? In this hilarious and bold satirical novel, the acclaimed Christopher Moore shares the greatest story never told: the life of Christ as seen by his boyhood pal, Biff.

Just what was Jesus doing during the many years that have gone unrecorded in the Bible? Biff was there at his side, and now after two thousand years, he shares those good, bad, ugly, and miraculous times. Screamingly funny, audaciously fresh, this work of religious satire rivals the best of Tom Robbins and Carl Hiaasen, and is sure to please this gifted writer’s fans and win him legions more.

I first read Lamb 13 years ago and have reread it many, many times since. Absolutely hilarious novel that was, or is, on a banned book list-- just because it makes you pee your pants laughing at Joshua and his pals and religion in general. Eye-opening, insightful book that people just might learn a thing or 2, all while ROTFL! Do yourself a favor and read Lamb... very, very worth it!!

I think this was a fun story. I think it has moments where it felt a little long in places, but there were many humorous moments for sure. I don't much about religion, but this was easy enough to follow and I understood most of the references.

In short for lack of time, I've read it 5 times, bought the Audio book (read by Fisher Stevens) and bought copies for several friends. I have now read all but two of his books and am waiting His sequel to " It's a dirty job".
